Overview
The Role
The OT Cyber Security Consultant will be working across multiple WSP business lines and delivering specialist Cyber Security services to WSP clients in a wide spectrum of industries, with an initial focus on supporting major Transport and Aviation projects in Australia. This role will be deployed to Sydney Metro West Linewide and Queensland Rail cyber security programs – both long-term secured engagements requiring a cyber security specialist. The role will additionally support WSP communication network design engineers as a secondary capability.
The Team
The Technology Systems Team is a specialist team within WSP that focuses on providing technology and integration consultancy services. The specialist services covered include Audio Visual (AV), Information & Communications Technology (ICT), OT Cyber Security, Controls, Automation and Control Systems, and Protective Security Consultancy & Engineering.
The Australia & New Zealand Technology Systems Team consists of 50+ engineers within the WSP Specialists Group in Australia, Manila and India, within the larger Specialist Group under at the Property & Buildings Board level.
With the addition of the Rail Comms Team, and the ITS Team, WSP is able to provide over 100+ Specialist Technology, Telecommunications and Security Engineers and Consultants in Australia and over 50 Specialist Engineers and Consultants in New Zealand who are focused on the development and deployment of technology based solutions. Internationally this figure is closer to 1200, making WSP one of the largest and most integrated Technology Consulting businesses internationally.
The Specialist Division of WSP includes other value add disciplines including Acoustics, Fire Engineering, Sustainability, Facades, Waste, Program Delivery, Vision Design (Specialist Lighting) to name a few. Specialists consists of a team of approximately 200 plus engineers and professionals located across most of the WSP offices in the Australia & New Zealand region.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver consulting services across the engagement lifecycle: risk assessment & threat modelling, architecture development, control selection, governance, procurement support, and implementation oversight.
* Partner with internal WSP design teams, project partners and clients to develop targeted risk treatment strategies.
* Developing and reviewing system and network secure-by-design OT architecture segmentation strategies, in conjunction with system and network design engineers, using defence-in-depth, least privilege, fail-secure and zero-trust segmentation principles.
* Work in collaboration with other WSP business lines and disciplines to deliver multi-disciplinary projects which include Cyber Security.
* Undertake the delivery of projects nationally and throughout the region.
* Ensure stringent technical review / QA procedures are in place to ensure 'best in class' levels of technical delivery are achieved for all projects within your control.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* A tertiary degree in IT, Computer Science, Communications Engineering or related field.
* Preferred Industry Cyber Security certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, CENELEC TS 50701, ISA/IEC 62443 Risk Assessment or Design Specialist.
* 3+ years in Cyber Security consulting/engineering with at least 2+ years exposure to industrial, OT or mission critical environments.
* Experience working in top tier engineering consulting firms.
* Strong knowledge of TfNSW and Sydney Metro project Cyber Security requirements and processes. Familiarity with similar critical infrastructure operator security frameworks will be regarded.
* Exposure to SESA activities including managing hazard logs and requirements traceability and verification.
* Strong active and passive ICT design experience and skills, being comfortable in supporting WSP's communication system designers in ICT scope delivery as required.
* Experience in successfully managing and completing multiple concurrent client deliverables in a dynamic, agile environment, on time and on budget and to client expectations.
* Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders in workshops, meetings, presentations.
* High quality report and technical document writing skills.
