Maintenance Fitter
As a skilled Maintenance Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery within a fast-paced food and beverage processing environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, as well as experience working with mechanical trade qualifications and computerised maintenance management systems.
Key responsibilities include identifying faults and performing breakdown repairs to minimise downtime, inspecting and testing machinery and equipment, and performing preventive and predictive maintenance on general plant and building maintenance work.
Requirements:
* Experience in a fast-paced food and beverage processing environment (FMCG)
* Understanding of computerised maintenance management systems
* Site services experience (steam boilers, air compressors, wastewater treatment plants)
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and spare parts manuals
* Practical mechanical experience in the usage of hand and power tools
* Welding experience (MAW and TIG welding highly desired)
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Hands-on approach and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
