About the Role
As a Supported Schools Transport Driver, you will operate wheelchair‑accessible minibuses to ensure passengers are transported safely, comfortably, and on time. You’ll provide exceptional customer service to a diverse range of travellers and help foster a respectful, inclusive travel environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Safely operating a wheelchair‑accessible mini‑bus along scheduled routes
* Providing friendly, professional customer service to passengers, including students with disability
* Completing pre‑drive vehicle checks and maintaining accurate operating records
* Reporting any vehicle defects, maintenance needs, or safety concerns
* Ensuring the security and cleanliness of the vehicle during operation
* Cleaning, disinfecting, and refuelling the bus to maintain high hygiene and safety standards

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment, while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas.
* Successfully undergo a police check.
* This position requires a pre-employment medical.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra (act.gov.au)
* Hold a minimum C class drivers’ licence with the ability to upgrade too Medium Rigid (MR).
* Hold an ‘O’ class drivers licence condition, public vehicle driver authority, interstate equivalent (or ability to obtain).
* Hold a current First Aid certificate including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Notes: This position is part-time at 25:00 hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
