We’re partnering with a respected community housing organisation seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This role is ideal for someone experienced in tenancy management who enjoys balancing strong administrative capability with people centred housing support.
You will manage an allocated portfolio and deliver high quality housing services aligned with legislative, regulatory and compliance frameworks
Key Responsibilities
Deliver end to end tenancy management across an allocated portfolioManage rent collection, rental arrears, payment plans and tenancy debtsConduct routine, ingoing and outgoing property inspectionsEnsure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act and relevant regulatory requirementsSustain tenancies through proactive risk identification and early interventionMaintain accurate and timely records within the tenancy management systemPrepare documentation, notices and represent matters at Tribunal where requiredBuild strong working relationships with support providers, referral agencies and key stakeholders
About You
Proven experience managing a housing portfolio in community, public or private housingStrong understanding of tenancy legislation and compliance requirementsConfident managing complex tenancy matters including arrears, anti-social behaviour and end of tenancy processesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesExperience working with vulnerable or socially disadvantaged communitiesCurrent driver’s licenceWorking with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
