Location: Erina Head Office, Central Coast NSW (Hybrid role available)

About the Role
This is more than a leadership role — it's a rare opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a growing national movement in Christian early education. AsNational Director, you will bring vision, courage, and clarity to the people, programs, and purpose of SmartPlay.
Reporting directly to the CEM Group COO and the SmartPlay Board, and working closely with Regulatory Authorities and the CEM Corporate Services team, you will lead the continued growth and operational strength of SmartPlay across Australia. You will have the scope to build, refine, and scale – establishing your own strategic footprint while nurturing a culture of faith, excellence, and innovation.
This is a role for a visionary leader with the heart of a shepherd and the mindset of a strategist.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the national strategic direction and growth of SmartPlay
Build and empower a strong, faith-filled team of Educators and leaders
Shape and implement policies and practices that reflect best-practice and Christian values
Ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance across all sites
Collaborate across teams to deliver quality services that honour our mission
About You
A strategic, forward-thinking leader with a track record in executive leadership and people management
Experienced in business development and organisational growth
Strong capabilities in policy development and implementation
Hold an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification
A vibrant and active Christian faith that shapes your leadership and service
Deep understanding of the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) landscape, including the EYLF and NQS (desirable but not essential)
A heart for children and a passion for reimagining Christian education in Australia
