The role of a Senior Kitchen Team Member is an integral part of the kitchen brigade, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
Maintaining Food Safety protocols to Government and Company Standards is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading a section of the kitchen and handling daily operations efficiently.
* Preparing, cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Receiving and accounting for supplies in accordance with business guidelines.
* Managing stock rotation, reducing wastage, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen section.
* Controlling portion sizes and costs.
* Assisting in menu development and costing in consultation with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
* Working proactively and ensuring timely service delivery.
* Supporting and coaching other team members.
Performance Metrics
* Consistently preparing meals to required standards.
* Ensuring Food Safety Guidelines are in place and adhered to.
* Proactively managing guest complaints or negative feedback.
* Managing food cost and wastage effectively.
* Achieving efficient food storage and stock rotation.
* Maintaining a positive, productive, and safety-conscious team culture.
* Guiding staff in daily tasks and empowering ownership.
