About the role
The ICT Support Test Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring payroll systems align with national Agreements and Awards, supporting accurate payroll processing across all business streams within Calvary Care. The position involves reviewing, testing, troubleshooting payroll systems, building matrices, and supporting system integration and user acceptance testing. The role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to identify integration risks, develop test plans, and maintain effective SLAs. It also includes assistance with system architecture assessments, documentation, and load testing to ensure compliance, efficiency, and reliability of payroll operations.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the payroll team and stakeholders to resolve complex payroll processing issues.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry payroll practices through active participation in professional networks and forums.
* Identify errors and implement effective processes to prevent recurrence.
* Develop, implement, and review risk management procedures to minimise operational risks.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll practices comply with policy, procedure, and SLAs.
* Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Develop strategies to enhance the skills and capabilities of payroll employees.
* Support the design and implementation of systems that streamline and automate payroll processes.
* Define core capabilities and create processes to anticipate and meet future payroll requirements.
