We are looking for a 1st Year Engineering Fabrication Apprentice – Boilermaking/Welding
As an Engineering Fabrication Apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience working in a modern factory environment, building components for modular buildings such as site sheds, classrooms, ablution blocks, and more. You'll learn welding, metal fabrication, and assembly skills while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication. This is a role where you'll get guidance and mentorship, not just be part of a large team.
Some of Your Duties Will Include:
* Painting chassis and preparing materials for welding.
* Assisting with loading and unloading chassis using the overhead crane.
* Cutting and punching steel components.
* Using a MIG welder to weld chassis, window grills, seat brackets, and braces for transport.
* Assisting with beam welding, outriggers, and other structural components.
* Maintaining housekeeping within the factory.
* Following Workplace Health & Safety procedures and attending toolbox talks to ensure safety on site.
