About This Role

">
">
* Dispute resolution specialists are required to review disputes not yet listed for conference, ensuring the decision is sustainable and technically sound.
">
* A key aspect of this role is providing a strategy on how to best resolve and/or progress the dispute, focusing on resolving it without the need for a conciliation conference.
">
* The specialist will proactively engage with employers, the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC) and employee representatives to facilitate the early resolution of disputes.
">
">

Key Responsibilities

">
">
* Completing tasks within set timeframes, including initial reviews, pre-conciliation reviews, and conciliation outcomes.
">
* Providing superior customer service levels to all parties, identifying solutions to resolve disputes that meet business objectives.
">
* Maintaining conciliation and dispute resolution practices in accordance with licensing agreements.
">
* Ensuring appropriate outcomes align with legislative boundaries, KPIs, and performance measures, as well as service expectations.
">
* Identifying skill gaps in technical and legal matters, providing input on training needs in conjunction with the team manager and training officers.
">
* Attending Technical Manager and Team Meetings as required to improve capability and sustainability of decisions.
">
* Representing the organization at conciliation conferences, if required.
">

About You

">
">
* You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Technical Manager, Eligibility Specialist, or Senior Case Manager.
">
* Experience in the workers compensation scheme, particularly in Case Management, Eligibility, and/or Technical Management.
">
* A strong working knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
">
* Strong organizational, stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
">
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
">
