St Peter's College is a Catholic Co‑educational Secondary College in Melbourne's south‑east region that has a proud history of fostering the educational and spiritual development of its students. Applications are invited for a 11‑month Leave Replacement position of Human Resources Officer. This position is being offered as a fixed‑term and full‑time position. The position is available for commencement from 27 January 2026 and will conclude on 11 December 2026.
Responsibilities
* Actively support the Catholic Identity of the College.
* Have a strong understanding of relevant legislation including the Fair Work Act, DOSCEL/CEMEA (or similar) Agreement Interpretation and implement robust procedures accordingly.
* Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in HR Coordinator/Officer roles.
* Ideally have experience managing Return to Work and Workers Compensation processes.
* Work as part of a collaborative team.
* Use excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Manage tasks with minimal supervision.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
* Experience in a school environment would be highly desirable.
Qualifications
* Hold a Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field.
* Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with valid work rights.
* Commitment to Catholic education and safety and wellbeing of children.
* Currently hold a Working With Children's Check and a National Police Check.
In accordance with the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Agreement 2022, from 7 July 2025, the salary range for the position is Category A, Level 4 Education Support Staff ranging between $93,880 – $106,933 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
