Job Description
The Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of employee payments, addressing payroll-related inquiries efficiently, and providing support to the Finance & Payroll Manager on various projects as needed.
Tasks:
* Process pay runs for 3000 employees and workers compensation claims on a weekly and fortnightly basis.
* Complete the end-to-end payroll process and terminations, escalating ideas to maintain payroll system integrity.
* Utilize time and attendance payroll module.
* Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed while practicing confidentiality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are seeking an individual with a minimum 2 years' experience in a payroll role, accounting or payroll qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Demonstrated knowledge including complaint handling, employee relations, WHS, terminations, workers compensations claims, policies and procedures, inclusion and diversity.
* Sound knowledge of industry Enterprise Agreements, awards and NES.
* Great knowledge and experience with MS Office products, especially Excel.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain successful relationships.
