Job Title: Senior Culinary Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Culinary Professional to lead the delivery of our services in Aurukun. This casual role can be FIFO working a roster of 6 weeks onsite and 2 weeks offsite with meals, accommodation and travel costs covered, or if living locally, a 5 days on/2 days off roster can be accommodated.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will prepare nutritious and delicious meals that support the health and well-being of older persons and persons with a disability, ensuring their dietary needs are met with care and creativity.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards
* Collaborate with the care team to create meal plans that promote residents' health and well-being
* Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure fresh and high-quality ingredients
* Provide exceptional service to older persons, ensuring a positive dining experience
Requirements:

* Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism
* Prepare and serve nutritious meals for older persons and persons with a disability, considering their dietary requirements and preferences
* Experience menu planning, to ensure nutritional needs are being met

* Support and respect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
* Willingness to travel by road and small plane
* Ability to work FIFO roster 6 weeks onsite 2 weeks offsite
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
2. Food hygiene/ Food Handlers Certificate (highly desirable)
3. Previous experience working in FIFO hospitality industry (desirable)
4. Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP (highly desirable)
5. Current nationally recognised first aid & CPR certificate
6. A current minimum P1
