We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Veterinary Nurse or Kennel Hand, with the opportunity for on-the-job training toward becoming a qualified Veterinary Nurse.
This role would ideally suit someone with a Cert IV in Veterinary Nurse and experience in the industry, however motivated individuals who will work towards getting a Cert IV will be considered.
About the Role
Your duties may include:
* Assisting veterinarians with patient care
* Cleaning and maintaining kennels, cages, and hospital areas
* Monitoring anaesthetics, taking radiographs, placing IV catheters, running blood tests.
* Cleaning and packaging surgical kits
* Assisting with handling and restraint of animals
* Supporting reception or general clinic duties when required
About You
* A genuine passion for animal care and welfare
* Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a team
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Willingness to learn and take direction
* Experience working with animals is desirable but not essential
* Able to work with customers in a warm and compassionate way.
