The Role
The main purpose of this role is to carry out electrical works as required by our Projects Department, relevant to all Aquatec pump stations and control systems.
Core responsibilities include electrical fit-off of Aquatec projects (both onsite and in-factory), conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) on switchboards, installation of electrical components onsite, conducting SAT (Site Acceptance Tests), troubleshooting electrical issues, and leading pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across various sites.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Carry out electrical onsite works aligned with project schedules
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
* Conduct FAT/SAT and commissioning of Aquatec pump stations
* Respond to faults and service issues as required by the Service Manager
* Supervise and mentor apprentices or casual staff (when applicable)
* Assist Mechanical Technicians onsite when needed
* Maintain clear and accurate site documentation, test records, and handover checklists
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure timely completion of works in line with quality and compliance standards

To be successful, you'll demonstrate:
* A current A Grade Electrician Licence
* Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and design plans
* Working knowledge of instrumentation (Flow / Level / Pressure), VSDs, and soft starters
* Industrial/commercial electrical experience including fault finding and system testing
* Strong understanding of switchboard installation and electrical compliance
* A proactive attitude and well-developed communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
* Willingness to travel and work away from home as required
