People Partner

We are seeking a People Partner to join our high-performing and collaborative People & Culture team on a 12 month parental leave role.
You will work across a broad range of HR generalist functions in support of our business, currently with an employee population of 00+ employees. You will partner with employees and leaders to foster a positive and high performing work environment, with primary responsibility for guiding performance management processes, providing employee relations advice and applying sound judgement and insights to facilitate the organisation’s continued development.
Working within a supportive People and Culture team and reporting to the Head of People Partnering, you will be flexible to adapt to the changing needs of a rapidly growing business whilst, at the same time, you will be given scope to shape the role to your strengths and interests.
What you will be doing
* Working closely with employees, people leaders, department heads and other stakeholders to align People practices with department and team goals.
* Addressing employee queries and concerns, mediate conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
* Supporting the cyclical l performance management processes and advising the business on practical implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Australian employment laws and regulations
* Conducting training needs assessments to identify gaps and recommend appropriate learning solutions (buy, build or borrow).
* Partnering with key stakeholders and the broader People team to Implement strategies to improve organisational effectiveness, including change management, team development and leadership coaching.
* Supporting talent management initiatives, including succession planning, career development and employee engagement.
* Participating in HR projects and initiatives to support organisational goals.
What do you offer
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field, or comparable experience.
* Relevant certifications in AHRI (Australian HR Institute) membership or CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) would be highly regarded.
* Solid experience in an HR partnering role with experience supporting the annual HR BAU processes.
* Strong understanding of Australian employment laws and regulations with the ability to apply in a pragmatic and commercial manner.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skill with the ability to confidently facilitate and present to senior stakeholders
* Analytical skills to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
* Sound technical skills in the MS Office Suite are expected; experience working with the Employment Hero HRIS system would be beneficial.
