About the role Rabobank’s Operations Payments & Processing team is part of the COO Domain’s Operations area & plays a vital role in delivering smooth, reliable payment experiences for our clients. We are looking for two proactive & detail-oriented Payments Officers to join our Sydney-based team. You’ll enjoy a hybrid work model, combining office & home flexibility. This role reports to the Team Leader, Payments. This position offers opportunities to develop broader skills in payments processing & authorisation as we continue to enhance our operations. Adaptability & a willingness to learn will be key to your success. Top Role Accountabilities: As a Payments Officer, you will be ensuring every transaction is accurate, timely, & compliant. Your day will include: Delivering exceptional customer service & building trusted relationships Processing a variety of transactions - from automatic payments & telegraphic transfers to deposit setups, breaks, & interest adjustments Managing trace requests & unposted items Upholding risk & quality standards across all interactions Investigating & escalating incidents or complaints when needed Reviewing data sets, reconciling accounts Collaborating in team meetings to enhance the overall customer experience Contributing to process improvements & participating in cross-training initiatives to support team flexibility Performing other duties as required To be successful you will have: 2 years’ experience in banking operations or payments Knowledge of Australian transactional banking processes will be highly regarded A customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail & an ability to work to a high level of accuracy Comfortable with learning new systems & adapting to process changes The ability to prioritise & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment A team player with a collaborative approach A resilient, proactive attitude Understanding of risk & compliance principles will be highly regarded What we're proud to offer you: Rabo@Anywhere is our hybrid way of working at Rabobank & for Australia, that means we have a blend of time working between the office & home Wellbeing leave.
