About the Role
NeuroMoves is recruiting for a new Physiotherapist (Full time or Part Time) to join our Canberra team. We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate and knowledgeable Physiotherapist, who is already working in, or would like to transition into, the neurological rehab setting and who values working in a for‐purpose organisation.
* Based at our Canberra ACT clinic in Flynn, you will start with an extensive and supportive induction and training programme. You will work closely with a physiotherapy mentor and gradually build up to managing a caseload of clients, including working with clients with Spinal Cord Injuries, TBI, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease and other related diagnoses in a rehabilitation and disability setting.
* Your day to day will become a well‐balanced caseload to suit your learning goals and clinical interests.
* You will provide a variety of Physiotherapy or EP interventions in the open gym clinic setting, through home and community visits, via telehealth and hydrotherapy.
* You will be accountable to your intervention through goal setting and the use of outcome measures for your clients, underpinned by evidence‐based practice.
* You will take a person‐centred approach and advocate for your clients' needs with various providers such as iCARE, NDIS and equipment suppliers.
* As part of the national team, you will have access to strong professional development including internal opportunities such as senior supervision, clinical mentoring, internal training and webinar sessions, as well as external professional development supported by a generous PD budget.
* A wide range of opportunities for project work and ongoing professional development both within the physio team and the wider multidisciplinary team, where you can grow your non‐clinical skills.
Remuneration will be matched to experience and, whilst we are ideally seeking someone with 2+ years experience, those with less experience are welcome to apply.
NDIS client experience is preferred, but not essential with on‐the‐job training and continued education opportunities available. A passion to learn, expand knowledge in a developing workspace and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary and diverse team are essential.
About You
* Experience in working as part of an allied health team, ideally in a rehabilitation or community‐based setting. Also open to new graduates applying, as we do have senior Physiotherapists available to support you.
* Ability to be involved in work of a physical nature
* Passionate about working with neurological populations
* Willing to learn and expand your knowledge as a neuro rehab professional.
* Happy to work independently as part of a small team
Qualifications and Experience
* Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
* A driver's licence and full access to a vehicle
* CPR + first aid accreditation
* Working with Children's Check and National Police Check
