We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Bunyip Kindergarten.

Our kindergarten has been at the heart of Bunyip's close-knit community for nearly sixty years. We offer dynamic 3- and 4-year-old programs that foster curiosity and creativity in a nurturing, inclusive environment where children, families, and educators feel seen, heard, and valued.
Our Bush Kinder program is a testament to what a bush kinder or any nature-based program can do to enhance a child's learning trajectory.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Bunyip Kindergarten.

Position Details:
Tuesday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Wednesday: 8:00am – 1:30pm
Group: Purple Group (4YO)
Employment Type: Part Time – Fixed Term
Contract Dates: Commencing 27th January 2025 to 18th September 2026
Total Hours: 22.5 per week

About you

1. You're reflective, curious and purpose-led, with a deep commitment to making a difference.
2. You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child.
3. You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member.
4. You have a drive to grow and improve continually.
5. You value kindness and respect.
6. You have great knowledge of the child safe standards and early childhood regulations.
7. You hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a VIT, mandatory reporting certificate, police check and a first aid certificate.

About the role

8. You'll develop a high-quality educational program for the 4 year old program in consultation with children, families and educators to achieve agreed outcomes for children.
9. You'll work collaboratively with Educators to implement an educational program driven by children's interests, underpinned by the Early Years Learning Framework, that aims to achieve their holistic development and facilitate a smooth transition to school.
10. You'll document the delivery of the educational program, children's interests and assessments of their learning and development needs.
11. You'll critically reflect and inspire staff to critically reflect on their pedagogical practice, share ideas and identify innovative ways of achieving positive outcomes for children.
12. Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis.
