Join a 100% remote team that’s built for performance, not postcode. Whether you're in a city apartment or a rural town, you’ll have the tools, support, and culture to thrive (pun intended) — without the commute. Please note: All roles are open only to candidates who live and work in Australia.
Grow Your Career, Grow Your Paycheque
We don’t just offer jobs—we build careers. With clear pathways across our sales roles and 70% of new hires promoted within 6 months, your growth is real, rapid, and rewarded. Start in one role and grow into the next.
Flexibility That Actually Works
We welcome parents returning to the workforce and offer flexible arrangements that fit real life. Part time options, remote work, and a culture that respects your time—because balance isn’t a buzzword here.
A Bit About Us
At Thryv, we’re fiercely devoted to the success of local businesses. For over 125 years, we’ve helped small businesses compete and win—starting with directories and evolving into cutting-edge software, automation tools, and digital marketing services. Today, we help Aussie and Kiwi business owners manage their time, connect with customers, and grow with confidence.
We’re not just selling software. We’re selling time, sanity, and success. And we’re looking for sales legends (or legends-in-training) to join our fully remote team—no commute, no office politics, and yes, we do have a dress code (from the waist up).
What You’ll Do
- Dial and Smile: Reach out to potential clients with your charming personality and set up appointments like a pro.
- Calendar Conqueror: Manage schedules with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker.
- Follow-Up Fanatic: Ensure no appointment is left behind with timely follow-ups to leads and sales team members alike.
- Team Player: Collaborate with our sales teams and partner to deliver SaaS revenue.
A day in the life of an Appointment Setter at Thryv
- Contacting Customers: Spend around 6 hours daily reaching out via phone, email, SMS, video calls, and a dialler.
- Following Up on Leads: No stone is left unturned. Over a 14-day period, our intuitive system will guide you to make calls, send SMSs, and emails to ensure every lead is worked thoroughly.
- Building Relationships: Understand Aussie business owners\' goals and pain points.
- Training and Improving: Dedicate about 1 hour daily to better understand Thryv software and improve your communication skills through daily huddles, team meetings, call calibration, and one-on-one coaching.
What makes you stand out from the rest!
- Driven Personality: You’re positive and growth-minded.
- Passion for Sales: You’re passionate about helping Aussie businesses thrive and want to progress towards becoming a sales superstar.
- Communication Skills: You’ve got a knack for both written and verbal communication and are outstanding at building relationships.
- Tech Savvy: You love technology and can quickly learn/understand systems (such as Thryv software itself and anything you’ll use as a part of your role).
- Business Acumen: You have a decent grasp of basic business language - i.e., customers, prospects, estimates, invoices, profit, organisation.
- Corporate/Call Centre Experience: Valued but not required (the right mindset is far more important).
A Note for Parents Returning to the Workforce
We get it. You’ve mastered multitasking, negotiation, and crisis management (aka parenting). You’re resilient, hardworking, and ready to re-enter the workforce—but you need flexibility. We offer that. In fact, we’re unique in offering flexible work arrangements that actually work. We welcome parents with open arms and open calendars.
We’ll consider part-time hours for the right candidate, provided you can work at least four 8-hour shifts per week, Monday to Friday. We do ask that all employees arrange alternative care for dependants during scheduled work hours —because selling software while juggling snack requests is a heroic feat, but not one we recommend.
What We’re Looking For
- A positive, driven personality (we can teach sales, but we can’t teach attitude)
- Strong communication skills and a love for building relationships
- Comfortable with tech and learning new systems
- A basic understanding of business language (customers, invoices, profit—you know, the usual)
- Previous sales or call centre experience is a bonus—but not essential
Remuneration
We\'re hiring for multiple appointment setter positions, with package ranges between $65K and $76K, depending on the role you\'re placed into. If you\'re driven, personable, and ready to make a difference—this is your chance.
