Job Title: Youth Development Specialist
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced professionals to join our team of dedicated youth workers in the South West region.
The role involves providing direct care and support to young people with complex needs and behaviours, working within a therapeutic model of care.
* You will have a demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed therapeutic care to assist in de-escalating and responding to critical incidents with the young person.
* You will have experience in dealing with children and young people (various ages from 0-18 years) with 'complex needs and behaviours' and the ability to therapeutically manage these behaviours.
* You will implement, monitor, and review individual therapeutic and goal plans.
* You will be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which may include days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience and demonstrated knowledge in a similar role within the social services sector.
You will have the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with children/young people and adults in different situations. You will be able to demonstrate effective communication in writing.
You will be reliable, flexible, and dependable with solid organisational skills.
You will enjoy making a positive difference every day in the life of our young people.
A current TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) certification is highly regarded.
