Position Details
PAYROLL COORDINATOR
The Payroll Coordinator at Mercedes College plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all payroll-related matters for both teaching and non-teaching staff. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll function in accordance with the relevant Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), salary schedules, and College policies.
Processing fortnightly payroll
Maintaining payroll systems
Completing reconciliations
Preparing journal entries
Managing superannuation payments
Ensuring compliance with Single Touch Payroll and end-of-financial-year requirements
Maintaining staff records within payroll databases such as Definitiv and Synergetic
This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organisational skills, with a strong understanding of payroll legislation and best practices. The Payroll Coordinator works collaboratively with the Director of Corporate Services and other key staff to support the smooth financial operations of the College.
This position is part-time (22.5 hours per week), 48 weeks per year.
