ITV Studios Australia, in partnership with Screen Careers, is offering a full-time, paid Sound Assistant role as part of a 5-week hands-on training placement. This opportunity will immerse you in the fast-paced world of unscripted television, supporting audio operations across studio, remote jungle locations, and live broadcast environments.
You’ll work alongside seasoned Audio Technicians, learning to set up, monitor, and troubleshoot audio systems that keep cast, hosts, and production connected and sounding crystal clear.
📍 Full-Time | Fixed-Term: 3 November – 5 December 2025
🗺️ Location: Based near Murwillumbah, NSW (on-site work required)

Who We’re Looking For
Some qualities we value:
Basic understanding of audio gear (mics, mixers, etc.)
A calm, detail-focused mindset in high-pressure settings
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Confidence in troubleshooting and adapting on the go
Physically capable and comfortable working outdoors
Interest in learning new tools, software, and live audio systems
We’re open to applicants with varied experience—from musicians and podcasters to tech assistants and live event crew. You don’t need a background in TV—just a technical curiosity and willingness to learn.
