The role will operate within genU's Community Participation division, which was established to facilitate innovative, client-centred programs with a focus on building skills that will assist in achieving our participant's goals!
As a **Disability Day Service Practitioner (Mental Health)**, you will support people who live with acquired brain injuries and Psychosocial disabilities to achieve their personal goals! You will do this by facilitating client participation in group & individual based supports & community activities. You will empower clients to be independent by fostering self-confidence and resilience! You will also assist clients to undertake daily activities and provide personal care.
**This is a part-time, flexible position, based in Geelong with hourly rates starting at $34, comensurate with experience!**
**About You!**:
- Our ideal _**_Disability Day Service Practitioner (Mental Health)_**_ will: _

- have some experience in the industry
- have an understanding of, and commitment to Workplace, Health, and Safety principles
- You will need:_
- Certificate IV in Mental Health
- First Aid Level II within 3 months of commencement
- Intermediate computer skills - Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook
- Full Victorian Driver's Licence
- A medical check stating capacity to function in the required role (if successful you will be required to undertake a medical)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
- Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate or willingness to obtain
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- All applicants will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet the requirements of the genU COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccinations during the recruitment process.
