Join our Indirect Tax team, responsible for supporting our businesses in Australia and New Zealand to manage their indirect tax obligations. The team is currently focusing on a period of transformation across all areas of indirect tax, including process improvement, transformation, data strategy, and leveraging AI and other technology platforms.

What role will you play?
You will provide indirect tax reporting, accounting, and operational support to Macquarie’s operating businesses and central functions. This will involve ensuring the appropriate processes and controls are in place, advising Finance teams on indirect tax reporting and operational issues, and ensuring Macquarie meets its indirect tax reporting and compliance obligations. In addition to supporting the monthly GST reporting cycle, the successful applicant will assist with the execution of our data strategy and transformation initiatives in respect of indirect tax processes and systems.
What you offer
- Tertiary degree or equivalent qualification (preferably in Commerce or Accounting)
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar in-house role or professional services environment
- Proficient in using business applications such as Excel, PowerBI, and Accounting Systems (e.g., Oracle)
- Experience in managing multiple deliverables concurrently and working with multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Experience working on tax or finance process transformation or data projects is valuable
