We're looking for a risk and controls professional to join Westpac’s Technology Business Control and Monitoring team in Sydney. You’ll play a key role in keeping the Bank safe by helping technology leaders make smarter decisions through strong risk leadership and practical control guidance. You'll work across three core domains such as Cyber Security, Chief Technology Officer, and the Transformation & Portfolio Office to support both daily operations and change initiatives. The position is a 12-month max term contract role based in Sydney, with flexible hybrid working arrangements (2 days in office). What do I need? Confidence evaluating, directing, and monitoring technology risk in complex environments Familiarity with IT General Controls and how they’re applied in real-world tech settings Capability to triage incidents and lead control self-assessment activities Strong stakeholder engagement skills to guide issue owners and embed better practices Ability to coach teams in applying controls and compliance processes effectively Willingness to share knowledge, learn continuously, and grow alongside the team Why join us?
