As our project portfolio expands, we are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our Procurement team as a Procurement Engineer Civil. This role will support the sourcing, procurement, and management of civil and site infrastructure materials and subcontracted services for solar, substation, and BESS projects across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the procurement of civil works, materials, and subcontracted services for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
* Review and interpret civil design drawings, site plans, and technical specifications to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements.
* Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, and assist with purchase orders and contract management.
* Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and Commercial teams to coordinate procurement activities with project schedules and technical requirements.
* Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, delivery, and safety standards are met.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including supplier development, sourcing strategies, and post-project reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
* 3–5 years' experience in civil procurement within EPC, subcontractor, or construction environments.
* Hands-on knowledge of civil works for solar PV, BESS, and related site infrastructure.
* Ability to read and interpret civil design drawings, technical specifications, and site plans.
* Experience supporting projects from tender through to construction delivery.
* Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement reporting.
* Renewable energy project experience (solar PV and/or BESS) in the Australian market is highly desirable.
