The Package: $102,645.28 - $112,375.52 gross per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 14 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) (inclusive of market premium) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

In this role you will:
Partner with service managers to deliver budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis that supports effective decision-making across Council services.
Provide expert advice and training on budget management, financial systems, and compliance with audit and taxation requirements.
Monitor budget performance, analyse variances and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a Tertiary Qualification in Accounting and/or Commerce.
Has extensive experience in the preparation of financial statements.
Is experienced in cost benefit analysis, financial planning and budgetary control.
Has experience in a local government finance environment and knowledge of TechnologyOne suite.
