Working closely with two experienced colleagues, you'll be part of a supportive buying team of three - not a stand-alone position. This is a role where your input matters and where you'll be empowered to take ownership of your categories while continuing to grow your career.
About the Role
- Manage a wide range of categories across a successful supermarket group
- Take ownership of supplier relationships, pricing, promotional planning, and terms
- Use data and insights to drive merchandising decisions and improve performance
- Collaborate with store managers and the marketing team to align commercial and operational goals
- Contribute to a business undergoing expansion and continuous improvement
- Be part of a team of three, with shared responsibilities and support
About You
- Experience in a supermarket buying or category management role is essential
- Strong commercial skills and negotiation ability
- Exposure to or understanding of merchandise planning
- Hands-on, analytical, and confident working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent communication and supplier management skills
