This is a full-time position requiring you to have telecommunication network experience and civil works knowledge with a flexible approach to travel. You will coordinate and direct a team of multi-disciplined trade-based personnel in support of project-based construction activities.
About the Role
The role encompasses aspects of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality (HSEQ), Resource & Programme Management, Community & Stakeholder Engagement, and Leadership. Your duties include:
* Driving a strong safety culture including completing audits and inspections, workplace observations, permits, incident management, pre-starts, and toolboxes
* Conducting walkouts, planning, scoping, and activities to ensure site works can be constructed efficiently and in accordance with the construction plans and delivery schedule
* Leading and managing a team of subcontractors including briefs, scope of work, escalating issues, and ensuring works are completed compliant to contractual agreements
* Ensuring artefacts for achieving Practical Completion of construction are completed and submitted on time and any deficiencies/defects are rectified in a timely manner
* Liaising with Site Engineers to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction
* Understanding community and stakeholder requirements from the Field Service Agreement Management and actively managing these requirements on site during construction
* Fostering a team culture of ownership, providing development opportunities, training, and addressing performance issues
Required Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a similar role with NBN/Telstra experience is required. You must possess:
* A trade qualification or qualification in a related field
* Sound computer skills
* Good communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
* End-to-end project/work delivery experience
