Job Description
Acciona Construction Australia is undergoing significant growth and we are looking for a Senior Planner to join our team based out of our Adelaide head office.
As a Senior Planner you will produce a program for the activities for civil engineering construction projects during the tender, delivery, and completion phases of projects which also involves scheduling, reviewing of project progress against the baseline project program and reporting as and when required.
Key accountabilities for the position
* Management and production of programs developed from first principles using the project scope of works, design documentations and project delivery strategies.
* Coordinate internal and external stakeholders input to develop accurate project programs
* Assigning plant, labor, and materials resources into the project program and producing histograms and s-curves to support the project controls process
* Converting tender / bid program into the contract master program
* Development of the program management plan and all other program supporting documentation
* Manage time-risk and time-opportunities and responsible for project schedule risk analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) and the allocation of time contingency into master program
* Regular site visits and record the progression of the project works
* Progress updates and reporting on the project program in consultation with the relevant stakeholders
* Assist with the identification and application of approved and non-approved changes to the program and analyse cause and effect from such changes
Required Skills and Competencies
* Planning experience in a construction/engineering environment.
* Ability to multi-task and demonstrate sound judgment, including balancing competing priorities
* In-depth knowledge of P6, project scheduling and program logic networking.
* Demonstrable understanding of design engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning methodologies
* A focus on communication and ability to build working relationships
* Strong problem solving / analytical skills.
Due to the Defence contracts we currently work on Australian Citizenship is required for this role in order to obtain Baseline Clearance
