About the Role
The Team Leader plays a key role in managing day-to-day production operations, leading their shift team with a strong focus on safety, quality, and performance. Reporting to the Production Coordinator, this role requires clear communication across all levels of the Marleston site and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The Team Leader leads by example, drives team development, and ensures production targets are met through effective problem-solving, coaching, and labour coordination—while upholding company values and operational standards.
What your day looks like
* Champion a strong safety and quality culture by ensuring compliance with OH&S and GMP standards, while coaching the team on safe work practices.
* Lead and engage the production team to build a positive, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement and service delivery.
* Oversee daily shift planning, including labour coordination, attendance tracking, and effective communication across teams and shifts.
* Drive problem-solving initiatives by identifying process issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing improvements.
* Monitor and manage labour costs and production schedules to meet budget targets and deliver on key performance indicators.
The Ingredients for Success
* Proven ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and build a strong, collaborative culture.
* Strong focus on safety, consistently upholding and modelling GMP, OHS, and quality standards.
* Hands‑on experience in FMCG manufacturing, managing production lines to meet performance targets.
* Skilled in coaching and developing team members through structured training and on-the-job support.
* Confident in solving technical issues and proficient in Microsoft Office for planning and reporting.
