Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities and developing strategies to drive revenue growth.


The Role

You will be working closely with our existing trade partners to build and maintain strong relationships, identify new opportunities for growth, and develop innovative solutions to meet their needs. Your primary focus will be on delivering sales performance in line with national commercial targets and supporting the overall business strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute business development plans to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new trade partners, including airlines, travel agents, and other industry stakeholders.
* Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, incentive deals, and tactical campaigns to achieve business objectives.
* Conduct sales calls, training sessions, webinars, and client presentations to support the sales process and build relationships.
* Identify and secure new trade partners to grow business opportunities and expand our customer base.
* Monitor account performance and provide market insights to support strategy and decision-making.
* Represent the company at industry events, expos, and trade functions to build brand awareness and establish relationships with potential partners.


What You Need to Succeed in This Role:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism or related field (preferred).
* 2+ years' experience in sales, account management, or business development (airline/travel industry preferred).
* Strong understanding of the Australian travel market and its trends.
* Experience as a General Sales Agent (GSA) (preferred).
* Proven ability to achieve sales targets and grow revenue through partnerships.
* Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Commercially minded with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Highly self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role.
