**About the position**
We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Mechanical fitters on a
20 x10 roster who have a proven track record of achieving results in a similar position and who are comfortable working in remote locations.
These positions offer the opportunity to join a dedicated team of managers, plumbers, mechanical fitters, electricians, boilermakers and skilled labourers, providing a unique opportunity to gain diverse skills working across an array of power, water and wastewater services alongside multiple trades.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor and Mechanical Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitters are an integral part of KRSP's field operations team.
You will undertake cyclic planned maintenance and unplanned breakdown maintenance of essential service infrastructure including power generation, and distribution assets, potable water assets including bore fields, ground and elevated water storage, pumping stations, water filtration, water treatment, and wastewater infrastructure.
**Key responsibilities of the role (but not limited to)**:
- Complete Mechanical repair and maintenance of power stations, water, water treatment and wastewater infrastructure
- Fault finding and failure diagnosis as required.
- Identify and report preventative maintenance items.
- Complete necessary electronic and manual documentation
- Attend unplanned maintenance and repairs.
**To succeed in this role, you will require**:
- Mechanical trade qualification
- **ESSENTIAL**:
- White card
- First aid qualifications (can be provided by KRSP however will be a requirement before commencing work)
- Current C class driver's licence
- with a good driving history
- The ability to provide a National Police Clearance
- Be fully covid vaccinated.
- Ideally experience in 4x4 driving
- Your ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity and safe work practices together with your positive mindset in dealing with work and people will be highly regarded.
- You must have full and unrestricted Australian work rights and live in Australia - There is NO Sponsorship opportunity available.
- **You would need to comfortable **working closely within a small team, camping within remote aboriginal communities, and cooking your own meals**
**Location**
The role will operate on a Drive In / Drive out roster basis from Broome to remote sites within the Kimberley region. Accommodation is provided by the Company while travelling for work purposes

- so you will accumulate holiday pay
- A competitive remuneration package of between $ $120.000 -140.000 PA + Super on all hours worked along with LHA (Living away from home allowance-which is tax free)
