Community Support Specialist

About the Role:
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Alice Springs. The successful candidate will provide holistic support to young people who are marginalised, excluded, and/or disconnected from service and build trust with young people through consistent and meaningful engagement.
The Community Support Specialist will report to the Program Manager and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve the organisation's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide case management support to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice
* Establish effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation
* Support is provided to young people in line with Youth Services Model of care and associated Frameworks
* Ongoing assessment is made of the client's issues, safety, needs, and circumstances from initial intake to exit
Requirements:
* Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or related field
* Demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous roles, service, and study/development
* Working with Children Check
* A national police record check is required
* Driver's Licence
* First Aid Certificate
