Overview
Esperance Home Care are looking for a volunteer who can give either one hour a week or one hour a fortnight on a regular basis to visit a socially isolated person either in their home or in the Nursing Home, providing friendship and companionship to enhance the quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Visit a socially isolated person regularly (one hour per week or one hour per fortnight) in their home or in a Nursing Home.
* Observe occupational health and safety procedures to ensure the safety of the client, the volunteer and others while visiting.
* Maintain appropriate boundaries: do not become involved in the client's financial affairs, family matters, or offer advice on matters beyond companionship.
