Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk Advisory within Group Risk, the Senior Risk Analyst is a key member of the Risk & Governance Advisory team (Line 2).
You will play a critical role in supporting Line 1 risk management activities across the Group Risk domain, helping ensure the right level of risk is taken to deliver on strategy. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will provide practical and tailored risk management solutions as the Fund responds to increased regulatory pressure, disruptive technologies, changing demographics and evolving member expectations. This is a 7‐month full‐time maximum‐term contract.
In this role, you'll:
* Partner with business stakeholders to manage risk in line with the Fund's Risk Management Framework
* Deliver business and material risk assessments, including identification and documentation of risks and controls
* Conduct control testing activities, including control self‐assessments and validation of control effectiveness
* Support incident and obligation management activities across the Group Risk domain
* Develop, monitor and maintain action plans and findings to address identified risks
* Contribute to risk reporting, dashboards and insights for Senior Management and Board Committees
* Promote continuous improvement and a strong, positive risk culture across Line 1 and Line 2 teams
What You'll Need
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or a related industry discipline (essential)
* Post‐tertiary qualifications in financial services, superannuation or risk management (desirable)
* Approximately 4+ years' experience in risk management and/or assurance, ideally within financial services or consulting
* Strong understanding of control design and operating effectiveness
* Demonstrated experience in risk assessments, control testing, incident and obligation management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence and respectfully challenge stakeholders
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with high attention to detail
* A collaborative mindset, resilience and a clear growth mindset
