Base pay range

A$180,367.00/yr - A$193,487.00/yr

Job Description

This position provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Rottnest Island Authority's (RIA) Corporate Services functions including finance, procurement, risk, governance, IT, insurance, facilities, policy, records, and workplace health and safety. The Director ensures robust corporate systems and practices are in place to support the RIA's business operations, statutory responsibilities and strategic objectives. The role advises the Executive Director, Board and Minister, and drives business improvement initiatives aligned to the evolving commercial, compliance and service delivery environment of the RIA. It is also responsible for shaping the strategic direction and performance of the Corporate Services team and contributes as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should address essential criteria 1 and 2. These should be addressed in no more than two (2) pages in total. Desirable criteria will be assessed as required.

- A proven record of leading and managing high performing teams; building capability to achieve strategic goals.
- Substantial experience in the leadership and delivery of organisational outcomes within an Information Technology, Financial Management and corporate support services, including, Risk Management, WHS, Corporate Policy Management, Information Management, and Facilities Management.
- Substantial experience in the development and implementation of efficient and effective governance frameworks and business procedures to ensure the achievement of strategic outcomes and legislative compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically build productive relationships, within and outside the agency, and use influence to drive results through effective teamwork, resource allocation and project management.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to interact and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business or equivalent.
- Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace.
