The MAMS Group is currently seeking a multi-skilled, enthusiastic, and physically fit truck driver to join our North Queensland team - in a casual or relief capacity. This position will be based in Cairns.
The MAMS Group is a family owned company operating between Townsville and Cairns. Our fleet of waste management trucks service council and commercial contracts in each of these regions. We are looking for a reliable and motivated drivers to provide relief coverage when our regular team members are on leave. The workload will vary—some weeks may involve just one day of work, while others may offer three or four days.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physically active work but is not seeking full-time hours.
Key Requirements:
* HR or HC Truck Licence and proven experience as a heavy vehicle truck driver
* Ability to work independently and represent MAMS Group with professionalism, honesty, and integrity
* Strong commitment to safety and compliance with NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
* Able to carry out manual handling tasks
* High level of communication – both written and verbal
* Flexibility and availability at short notice
