About the Role The Change Lead is responsible for defining, planning and managing change and communications management activities to support the implementation of a range of projects within the current reform agenda.
The Change Lead will provide specialist change management leadership to support the successful delivery of projects across the business and associated projects. The role will drive organisational readiness, lead stakeholder engagement, and ensure the effective adoption of new processes and technologies across diverse operational environments.
The Change Lead will deliver end‑to‑end change management activities, including the development and execution of change and business readiness plans. This work will ensure that all change impacts are identified, assessed, communicated, and effectively managed to support a smooth transition to new ways of working.
The role will lead the implementation of contemporary and best practice change management strategies as well as communications and engagement tactics to ensure the successful embedding of this way of thinking and working in our environment.
The primary accountabilities of the Change Lead include:
* Plan and execute change management activities to support implementation of initiatives within our business environment across the state.
* Work closely with the Business Integrations Manager on ensuring Business Readiness activities are planned, actioned and monitored.
* Develop and implement contemporary and best practice change management plans in collaboration with Portfolio Change, Project Leadership and Sponsors, to identify and respond to change impacts specific to each location, build change resilience and optimise business readiness.
* Work collaboratively with the project team, business units, and change champions to socialise, integrate and embed changes.
* Develop strong working relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the agency to manage expectations, support the change process.
* Plan, develop and implement targeted communication and engagement strategies to ensure all stakeholders are informed, understand and embrace the change.
* Provide advice to leaders, including project and program leadership, on the change progress, observations and risks associated with the transition to a new way of working.
Additional Information
* Formal qualifications in human resource management, change management, project management, business (or a related discipline) would be highly regarded.
* Change management certification with a recognised professional body would also be highly regarded.
* Possession of a tertiary degree or diploma relevant for the human services or criminology fields such as law, justice, humanities, psychology, behavioural or social sciences, social welfare, health, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies will be highly regarded.
* Travel may be a requirement for this position as this position may be required to work at different sites.
