ABOUT THE ROLE
Take control of a well-run forwarding team of 4 as Operations Manager. Working on the CW1 platform, the position will suit a compassionate, professional & experienced manager. The role demands a technically compliant forwarder with strong analytical skills. Responsible for Australian operations while working with a global network. This role is supported by a strong commercial team with a proven internal process.
DUTIES
• Manage and ensure the daily operations team of 4 is supported and mentored appropriately
• Maintain and develop existing and potential agency supplier networks to ensure contracts are delivered
• Monitor operational reporting to analyse and identify potential issues and flag process improvement opportunities
• Responsible for the P/L & EOM of the business unit
• Ensure both ISO:9001 & internal policies/procedures are delivered according to agreed benchmarks
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Direct experience managing an Australian freight forwarding operations team
• Previous and competent experience working with both Import and Export Operations
• Demonstrated experience creating and analysing CW1 reporting functions
• Familiar with dealing with complex and varied overseas agents
• A command in delivering reports and presenting to a board of directors
