About your new role:
As a Barista at Alba's Café, you will be at the heart of our coffee shop. You will create hand-crafted beverages and provide exceptional service to all our customers. You'll need to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, welcoming attitude.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to company standards.
* Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including equipment and customer areas.
* Respond to customer inquiries and orders in a friendly and professional manner.
* Stock and replenish inventory as needed.
* Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning tasks and setting up the space for the next day.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
* Experience as a barista or in a similar role.
* Passion for coffee and understanding of various brewing methods.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
* Team player with a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Barista certification or relevant training.
* Food Handling certificate
* Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
* Knowledge of coffee bean origins and flavor profiles.
