We are currently seeking applications for a Procurement Officer, to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance for a period of up to 2 years.


Remuneration: ASO5 - Salary Range ($85,790 - $95,413 p.a % Super

About the opportunity:

The Procurement Officer (ASO5) plays a key role in supporting the Office of the Chief Information Officer to deliver effective, compliant and value-for-money procurement outcomes across government. Working within Internal Operations and Governance, the role partners closely with business areas to plan, develop and establish low to medium-risk procurement and contracting arrangements that support OCIO's digital, ICT and cyber security objectives.

The role involves preparing and coordinating end-to-end procurement documentation, advising stakeholders on procurement strategies and processes, and supporting contract establishment activities in line with South Australian Government procurement frameworks, legislation and policy requirements. The Procurement Officer works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers, manages multiple procurement activities simultaneously, and contributes to continuous improvement of procurement practices and outcomes.

About you

You will be successful in this role if:

* You are an experienced procurement professional who enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver practical, compliant and value-for-money outcomes. You have experience supporting procurement and contract establishment activities and can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a busy operational environment.
* You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, and are comfortable engaging with a diverse range of internal stakeholders and suppliers, including in situations involving sensitive or confidential information. You are organised, detail-focused and able to work with a degree of autonomy, while knowing when to escalate issues or seek guidance.
* You bring a sound understanding of government procurement frameworks, policies and legislative requirements, and can apply this knowledge to develop high-quality procurement documentation and provide practical advice. You are comfortable working with risk, governance and record-keeping requirements and take pride in producing accurate, well-structured work that supports good decision-making.
* You are proactive, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement, with an interest in contributing to stronger procurement practices that support organisational objectives and deliver real value to government and the community of South Australia
