About the role:
Responsible for planning, developing, installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting operating systems along with related server hardware, software, and databases. The role ensures optimal system integrity, security, backups, and performance. Additionally, provides comprehensive technical support (to customers and Asta), by diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network environments.
You will be involved in:
1. Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues across servers, work-stations, and communication infrastructure.
2. Providing timely technical support for hardware and software, responding to and resolving assigned tickets within required SLAs, and escalating complex issues when necessary.
3. Monitoring systems daily and responding immediately to security and usability concerns to maintain system integrity.
* Verifying data backups, reviewing system logs, and ensuring proper data recovery processes are in place.
* Installing, configuring, and testing computer-related equipment to support reliable performance.
* Ensuring system and network components are well-integrated by monitoring and adjusting performance to optimise efficiency.
* Assessing current IT environments to identify future infrastructure needs and recommending improvements for server and network implementation.
* Creating and maintaining accurate documentation, policies, procedures, and system logs for operational transparency and continuity.
* Maintaining detailed records and reports on infrastructure solutions deployed within Asta or customer environments.
To thrive in this role, you will need to have capabilities in:
* Basic server and system administration
* IT security principles and best practices
* Account management, including creating user accounts, resetting passwords, managing printer access, mapped drive/folder access, and licence assignments
* Resolving and escalating internet and phone outages
* Laptop imaging and deployment
* Vendor (third-party) management
About you:
* Bachelor / Master's Degree in IT or related field
* Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
* Effective communication and stakeholder management
