About the Role
We are seeking a talented junior lawyer to join our team as a Jurisprudence Specialist. This exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and ambitious individual to advance their legal career and gain valuable experience in the field of negligence and redress.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the provision of high-quality, timely legal advice on a wide range of claims made against Victorian government schools.
* Work closely with Principal Lawyers and Managers to develop and implement strategies to manage litigated and non-litigated negligence claims.
* Collaborate with Senior Lawyers to provide guidance and support on tort law and duty of care matters.
* Assist with the department's response to the National Redress Scheme.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A strong understanding of tort law and duty of care principles.
* Experience in negligence litigation claims or a related field.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Able to work effectively in a team environment.
