Duties and Responsibilities: General Duties: Greet clients warmly and ensure they are comfortable.
Perform reception duties including managing appointments, handling payments, and responding to phone and online inquiries.
Provide expert consultation to understand clients' needs and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the salon, including workstations, tools, and equipment.
Follow salon procedures and safety regulations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service.
Styling and Cutting Duties: Shampoo, condition, and prepare hair for cutting.
Perform a variety of cutting techniques and styles for both men and women, including modern and classic cuts.
Provide blow-drying, styling, and finishing services to achieve the desired look.
Offer professional advice on hair care, styling products, and maintenance.
Colouring and Chemical Treatments: Conduct thorough consultations to determine clients' hair colour preferences and suitability.
Apply permanent and semi-permanent colours, highlights, and lowlights.
Perform balayage, ombre, and other advanced colouring techniques.
Administer chemical treatments such as perms, relaxers, and keratin treatments.
Ensure precise application and processing of colours and treatments, maintaining hair health.
Additional Responsibilities: Stay updated with the latest hair trends, techniques, and products.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Assist in salon marketing and promotional activities.
Manage stock levels of hair products and supplies.
Ensure a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements: Relevant qualification in Hairdressing (Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent) Minimum 12 months of hands-on experience as a qualified Hairdresser in a salon environment.
Proven expertise in cutting, styling, colouring, and chemical treatments for a diverse clientele.
Strong consultation skills with the ability to recommend suitable styles, colours, and treatments.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Up-to-date knowledge of current hair trends, techniques, and products.
