About the Team
The ARC ITRH for "Human-Robot Teaming for Sustainable and Resilient Construction" is a newly funded research hub by the ARC. This hub will be within the Faculty of Engineering and IT, aligned with the School of Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering and the Robotics Institute.
About the Role
The Hub Manager, to be funded by the ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub (ITRH) grant – "Human Robot Teaming for Sustainable and Resilient Construction", will work closely with the Hub director at the Faculty of Engineering and IT to manage hub activities including communication with stakeholders, budgeting, agreement management, engagement with partners for research and translation, outreach, reporting to the ARC, UTS, and FEIT, and business development. The Research Hub Manager will play a key role in the successful delivery of Hub projects on time and within budget.
- Managing and/or overseeing all aspects of the administrative operations of the ARC ITRH Hub, including committee support, organisation of workshops, forums, meetings, project support, research performance, finance, human resource management, marketing, contract negotiation, IT, and government compliance.
- Contributing to and initiating continuous improvement activities, including establishing procedures and documenting them accordingly.
- Monitoring and reporting on performance to the Hub Director, the ARC, UTS Research Office, Faculty, Leadership Group, Advisory Boards, and External Engagement Committee as required.
- Facilitating and contributing to the preparation of major research proposals with distinctive commercial, financial or strategic value.
- Representing and promoting the Hub to the internal UTS community and to industry, government and the broader community, and building and maintaining productive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Writing, editing, and circulating a range of communications and promotional materials in print and digital mediums using various media tools, and maintaining online content on the website and social media.
- Planning, developing, budgeting for, and implementing a range of high‐level meetings and events, including events with high‐level dignitaries.
- Planning, coordinating, and undertaking specialised administrative tasks for the ITRH Hub seminar programs and networking events, including liaison with speakers.
- Supporting research translation activities in the Hub.
- Developing and implementing an impact strategy for the Hub with the Hub director.
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $115,265 to $131,274 pa (HEW8). This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full‐time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis until 24 months.
