Our client is a centralised government agency that leads the ACT Government’s technology, digital, data and cyber security services and leads the delivery of specific whole of government large scale ICT initiatives

The Payroll Capability and Human Resource Management (PC-HRM) Program is a strategic and complex initiative aimed at improving payroll capability and human resource management within the Public Service

Role Description

The Director or AD position is responsible for progressing the implementation of initiatives strategically significant to the PC-HRM Program

Responsibilities:

* Support the Business Outcome Owner to progress the implementation of initiatives strategically significant to the PC-HRM Program benefits, with an initial focus of enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities
* Working with key stakeholders to develop Power BI reporting and dashboards
* Working with key stakeholders to ensure that the reporting and dashboard solutions are interactive, engaging, meet the business need and continuously improve.
* Undertake data analysis to identify trends, anomalies and actionable insights in order to translate this data into clear and engaging Power BI reports and dashboards
* Developing data automation capability, self-service dashboards and improvements to reporting processes for the Learning Management System
* Consolidating multiple data sources into the centralised HR data warehouse
* Contributing to data governance practices
* Work with key stakeholders and directorates from a technical perspective in relation to the implementation of the whole of government rostering, time and attendance system.
* Assist with undertaking engagement on PC-HRM Program business outcomes and benefits.
* Review and contribute to the development of program documentation and other artefacts
* Provide advice to stakeholders on PC-HRM Program business outcome related matters
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated technical experience with Excel, advanced experience with Power BI, DAX coding skills and other tools/programming languages (e.g. R, Python, Power Apps/Automate/ Query, SQL and ETL workflows) for data manipulation and automation as well as the preparation of compelling and interactive data visualisation/dashboards and reports using large and complex relational databases.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills (particularly in relation to data) including the ability to clearly convey ideas and insights in an engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Advanced stakeholder engagement skills; including the ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships with team members, internal stakeholders and external agencies
