Job Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee WHS across our organisation. This includes setting the WHS strategy, driving a values-based safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislative obligations, and leading a multidisciplinary WHS team.
* Develop a three-year WHS Strategy aligned to organisational goals and values.
* Champion the development of a proactive & collaborative safety culture across all agencies and parishes.
* Oversee the WHS Management System, compliance frameworks, and audit programs.
* Lead risk management, psychosocial safety strategies, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
* Manage Workers' Compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and regulatory reporting.
* Build WHS capability across senior leaders through training, advice, and governance support.
* Lead, coach, and develop the WHS Manager, Advisors, and Injury Management team.
About You
As a senior WHS leader, you will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in WHS, occupational health, or related discipline (postgraduate desirable).
* Expert knowledge of WHS legislation, systems, and governance.
* Experience in WHS auditing, risk management, psychosocial risk, and injury management.
* Demonstrated success in leading teams and building organisational WHS capability.
* Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.
