We are currently seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team located at Charmhaven on the Central Coast of NSW.
the Role
Working on state‐of‐the‐art equipment, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and completing process improvement and installation projects ensuring technical requirements and specifications are being adhered to. On‐going breakdown support and general electrical work will also be required.
The following qualifications will help you be successful in this role:
* Qualified and experienced electrician
* Good knowledge of AS3000 and extensive knowledge of all facets of electrical work with a firm commitment to safe work practice
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single‐line diagrams, and PLC I/O drawings
* Experience with fault‐finding on industrial control systems
* Competent with three‐phase systems, motors, motor starters, VFDs, and protection devices
* Strong understanding of electrical safety and LOTO
* Ability to diagnose and replace sensors, relays, contactors, actuators
* Basic knowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, etc.)
The following skills/experience are not essential but will be highly regarded in the selection process:
* Experience with Allen‐Bradley / Siemens PLCs (reading ladder, basic troubleshooting)
* Ability to fault‐find using Allen‐Bradley Studio 5000 / RSLogix and Siemens TIA / Simatic Manager for monitoring and basic editing
* Understanding of SCADA / HMI systems, specifically Cimplicity and Wonderware System Platform
* Familiar with VSDs, soft starters, servo drives, motion control
* Basic understanding of PID loops and instrumentation
* Experience with safety circuits (E‐stops, light curtains, interlocks, PLe/SIL)
This is a full‐time permanent position. To be successful in this role you must be self‐motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre‐employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
