Role Description
For the right person we have either an Internal Auditor / Consultant role, or an Internal Audit Manager role available. We have demand and need, however are more interested in finding the right person than recruiting for a specific job level.
If you fit the role of Manager position, you will be a self-starter and enjoy both independence and support in leading and executing internal audits. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing internal audits and creating clear and user-friendly audit reports, with a goal of offering recommendations to improve our clients' effectiveness. You'd be great at this role if you can balance a mix of strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills and advanced written English skills. You'll have a role in helping maintain relationships with our clients. We'll be with you every step of the way - with regular check-ins aiming to offer both support and freedom as needed.
If you fit the role of Analyst, you will have 2-5 years of experience already and be ready to build upon this in an exciting field. You'll work with a variety of clients and enjoy the ability to both have a home base at Galpins and also regularly visit different clients. This role will draw upon strong interpersonal skills, writing and an interest in learning (about government, legislation, differnt programs/projects - you will always have something interesting to learn). We will develop a tailored training program to help you grow.
Both roles will include direct and positive collaboration with clients.
Depending on the candidate, this is either a full-time or part time role based in Norwood, SA, with some flexibility for remote work arrangements.
Qualifications
* University level qualification that has promoted your analytical and/or writing skills - for example business, economics, science, political science. We'll train for the rest.
* Strong Analytical Skills and experience in finance-related problem-solving
* Excellent Communication skills, including presenting concise findings to clients and stakeholders
* Willingness to obtain and/or already have relevant certifications such as CA, CPA, or CIA are highly advantageous
* Knowledge of public sector audits or experience working with not-for-profits is a plus
* Strong knowledge of internal controls and risk management principles
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Positive, can-do attitude and interest in being part of a small, positive and high performing team
